This sculptural trellis that I designed and built is called “Gates Two …” It took about three months for me to bend and assemble all of the 130 pieces that make up the piece. It was installed in June 2018 at Congregation Kol Ami in White Plains, NY. I am really excited to see how this piece evolves over time as the metal rusts and the plants grow all over it!
I am so lucky to have been able to participate in the Manoog Family Artist-in-Residence program at the Plumbing Museum in Watertown, MA. I was able to create new work in both steel and marble that continues to explore how human beings interact with and are affected by nature and our own industrial creations. More images of the pieces that I made during the residency can be seen in the metal and mixed media sections of the gallery. The show will be up until December 15, 2017.
